Websites are an excellent way to reach out to your audience and have them reach out to you as well. There was a time when only the WebMaster had access to updating and managing the client’s websites, but no more! I now use powerful platform called WordPress to build websites. WordPress is an amazing content management system or “CMS” which is constantly evolving and bringing you the latest and greatest in web development. This platform is also very user friendly and I include at least 1 hour of CMS Training with each of the websites I sell.

Project Calendar

The reason I am able to keep prices low and devote serious attention to each client is due to the fact that I run a one woman show, who works one project at a time. That is why I must schedule each project on my Project Calendar.

And how do you get your website design project on my Project Calendar?

  1. Submit details about your website by filling out a: Project Questionnaire. <-click here.
    This will give me enough information about your project to make sure it’s a good fit for my design services.
  2. I will send you a custom quote. If you accept the quote you can proceed to step 3.
  3. Pay 50% of the invoice as a down payment via PayPal. (Remaining Balance: 50% of the remaining balance will be due once the website is ready to go live.)
  4. After I have received the down payment, your date will be reserved on my “Project Calendar”. At that time I will email you the date on which I’ll begin your project. I will be contacting you when your project date arrives to obtain the necessary details I’ll need to start. I fill my Project Calendar several months in advance.

The process

  1. Once your Project Date arrives, communication is the key to the successful completion of any project. The preferred methods of communication are text or email.  Clients are asked to respond in a timely manner to emails and chats, realizing that extensive delays in responding will extend the time of the project and possibly interfere with other projects on my Project Calendar.
  2. Domain names and Hosting Plans must be chosen.
  3. If you have existing domain names and Hosting Plan, please gather username and passwords. I will need this so that I can have access to your accounts and begin the designing process.
  4. Each website design includes up to three different mockups. After reviewing the first mockup, the client will submit specific feedback, including every change that should be made. If the mockup is not acceptable at all, a second mockup will be sent based on feedback from the first. The same would occur for the third mockup. The client is expected to communicate his feedback with concrete language and/or examples. Additional changes to the design after final approval will incur further charges.
  5. The length of your project really depends on how quick you are in responding to emails. My average time for a full website design with good client communication is 3-4 weeks.
